All of these claims are pure fabrication - it's fair to say the guest has quite some imagination. Aziz was by far the worst guest I've ever hosted, and wish to never host again. Among many other reasons: he completely trashed my apartment in an unprecedented way - the few times friends visited during his stay, they couldn't believe the mess.
He stayed at the apartment 24/7, producing an impressive amount of garbage and mess (leaving empty soda bottles everywhere, food on the floor, etc), and had this inexplicable expectation that I would come home to clean after him. Maybe this is because I was very generous to him and took the trash out every morning and every evening when I'd get home from work. It felt like there was an unattended child living there.
His overall uncleanliness brought cockroaches and other insects never seen in the apartment. I had to hire professional cleaning services immediately after he left; I doubted my regular cleaner would permanently handle the mess. Thankfully all is back to normal now.
He did not follow any house rules, going as far as smoking inside the apartment when I wasn't there - even after I'd told him that it was illegal, unacceptable and inconveniencing - I'd often come home to a reeking place. I started spending as little time as possible at home because of this situation.
It was very difficult and unpleasant hosting Aziz.
Since he couldn't find a long term place to stay in New York, I initially agreed to let him extend his stay. Then things went from concerning, to alarming, to unbearable. After I refused to extend his stay for the second time - as I was also travelling - he promised to write a very negative review.
This is why I didn't write a review for him in the first place: there was nothing good to say, I just wanted him gone.
