The place was great, the location was great. But there was one fairly major problem, the shower leaked excessively because there was no seal on the shower door. The bathroom flooded not only the bathroom, but into the bedroom as well. I messaged Gabriel about this matter, I thought that maybe because the property is new, that no one had stayed in this room and simply requested he address the problem. He replied to say that my complaint was strange because he had never had other complaints and the room had had many guests before us, but said he would have someone fix it as soon as possible. The only fix he provide during our stay was to have the maid put a rolled towel where the shower door seal should be. By placing said towel on the interior of the shower, and another on the outside, we managed to somewhat control the leaking. But I really did not appreciate him not truly fixing the problem, especially when it seems like such a simple fix. I also didn't appreciate that in his response to our problem, he essentially implied that we were somehow the cause of the problem. I'm dumbfounded as to how he handled the situation, as it can't be the first time he had heard about the shower leaking, and it's such a beautiful property...why let such a cheap fix stand in the way of the property being absolutely perfect? And why not address the situation with great customer service? I almost felt as though he knew the property and its location were so great that he didn't need to provide customer service, and maybe it is. Also, we met a couple in the pool who were renting the penthouse suite, they also had the shower leakage problem, only their problem was addressed immediately upon complaint. I guess maybe we hadn't paid enough to receive excellent and prompt customer service. Still at the end of the day, everything else was so great (maids included) that I'd probably stay here again.
