If you like to stay in a friendly and happy house in the green area in Tallinn, my house is the best choice for you.
This host is excellent. Her house is very pleasant, environment very quiet, green and beautiful. There was also nice breakfast and lots of interesting discussions with the host. I got a pick-up from the harbour, and when I left I got a lift again. We also shared some trips out of Tallinn. Do not be afraid of a dog or a cat, they are nice and friendly like their owner. Fully recommended for travellers who are looking for a quiet and nice environment after long and busy day in the city centre. By the way, there are lots of nice walking paths in forest and seaside.
We had a terrific stay in Kristel's house. It's a well furnished house with cool bath tub, sauna and a fire place. From other things which you will enjoy for sure - you will be accompanied by absolutely adorable dog and a cat. House is in the suburbs of Tallinn in a very nice looking and quiet yet uptrending district. We enjoyed close proximity to nature (30 min walk to the nearest beach and sailing club through the park) while being able to get to the very center in just 10 min by car (6-9 euros max subject to traffic). The house itself is homy and hygge. It's hard to make yourself leave it cause it's so cosy! and Kristel also left lots of food for breakfasts ))) - much more than we needed :)). Kristel herself is very friendly, smart and easy to communicate with woman which I enjoyed spending time with. She met us at the bus station and was really helpful with all the other arrangements which we needed. I wish she could spend more time with us. It's one of the things which I love about Airbnb - it allows you to meet cool people and know through their home, life and experience more about the country which you are visiting. Hope we meet again.
Kristel has a beautiful home. The area is very quiet and still close to the city - there are two bus stops nearby and the busses take you to the city center in about 20 minutes. Kristel herself is a very friendly and generous person - we liked it very much to chat with her. She knows a lot about Tallinn and Estonia in general and is sharing her stories if you want to. Also her cat and her dog are really lovely animals. We recommend staying at Kristel's and would love to come back some day.
That's very good that you liked the Seaplane Harbour:) Yes, please, come back - here is a lot more to discover. Also, Benedikt, if you have any ideas business wise - let me know - I quite know everything about the opportunities at IT sector in Estonia. Have fun in Finland and Sweden! Safe trip back home!!! Kristel & Chloe:)
Kristel is a great host and I had a enjoyable weekend staying at her place. She is very friendly and generous. We had some nice conversations over breakfast and dinner. And she shared a lot interesting facts about Tallinn, about Estonia. Kristel also picked me up from ferry terminal, showed me around and gave me some tips on what to do and where to go. My stay was comfortable and I felt like home. On the map, the place looks far from city center, but Tallinn is small, there are direct buses to go to Kristel's place from the old town, waiting time 10mins max - costs less than a euro. I haven't tried taxi, but supposed to be cheap as well. Thanks Kristel for hosting me and the nice experience!
