Beautiful, sunny apartment in the heart of Hamburg, situated in a quiet back street. Near to the city-centre, an ideal base to explore the whole city. Pleasant neighbours. Good restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and shops, busses and subway nearby.
My airy apartment is on the top floor of a late 19th century town house. Ca. 80 sqm. It has original plaster cornices, pine floor boards and historical doors and tiling, and is furnished with contemporary designer and antique pieces.
There are three rooms:
A large, bright living-room with comfortable leather-sofa and dining table. Large collection of books on art and photography. Stereo system. No TV.
Quiet bedroom with double bed (160 x 200 cm) and large wardrobe.
Living-room/office with sofa-bed (for guests requiring seperate bedrooms or - only on request - for children). Here is the access to the south facing balcony overlooking the rear gardens. Comfortable table, chairs and sunshade.
Lovely kitchen with dining-table. Fully equipped. Especially suitable for guests who enjoy cooking. Large collection of dried herbs and spices. Gas cooker, electric oven, dishwasher, electric espresso maker and foamer.
Bathroom freshly renovated from May 2017. With shower in comfortable bathtub . Washing machine.
Seperate WC, also newly renovated from May 2017.
Hallway with coat rack and wine rack.
The house, being about 130 years old, does not have modern sound insulation. New double windows keep out sounds from the street but you may hear the very pleasant young couple next door and their small child occasionally.
Please be considerate of the other occupants, especially if you listen to music. Please don't wear outdoor shoes indoors and smoke only on the balcony. It would be great if you watered the plants, especially the thirsty on the balcony.
Please contact me direct by phone or e-mail if you have any questions during your stay. A contact person in Hamburg will also be available at need.
