Prostor

This is a Sibley Bell Glamping Tent that allows 2-7 people to camp together. Includes tent cots and sleeping bags. Sometimes Beds, if available. We have poles onsite that are perfect for hammock campers.

Dostupno gostima

This listing has two beds, sometimes cots, depending on the sleeping arrangements requested. Includes bedding, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, and usually has a full framed bed with linens.

We have an outdoor shower, an outhouse for guests. The shower includes instant hot water. Which is often not available when it freezes.

We have a solar powered charging station for devices. It is not enclosed but if you are desperate for a charge it's here.

Bring Coleman propane canisters if you wish to use the tent heaters. Bring your own flashlight. We do have some lights.

This is tent camping, and we cannot control the weather. Do not pay for or reserve a tent, and expect a hotel or house, or apartment or condo. Most people who rent tents are experienced campers, but we get a lot of people who want a cheap hotel, instead of a tent and campground experience. So we apologize to experienced campers for the new and overly verbose house rules. We are on the same roads, that all airbnb hosts are on.

1. Please inform us if there are things that you require, and let us know since we try to give guests their space. If you would like to connect with us, just come by and let us know, as we cannot determine which a guest prefers automatically every guest is different with their preferences. If you run out of toilet tissue, or need a towel or anything, let us know.

2. Please donate to the wood fund. FREE WOOD IS NOT PROVIDED BY ANY CAMPGROUND OR HOTEL.

Any professional cameras have to be cleared by the OWNER Dorothy Bigman for Navajo Nation Back Country Permit. Which only requires that you speak with her and pay a small permit fee to her for back country photography. She can provide tours for photographers to photogenic locations for special photography that is not the same photos that everyone else has.

Just let us know you have a professional camera and we can arrange for you to meet her and deal with her directly. We do not accept any fee for backcountry photography but we request copies for our use for making the permit appointment with Dorothy.

Please take your trash with you as we have no trash service in our remote community. If you leave trash it will stay here forever.

Interakcija s gostima

As much as you would like or as little as you require. We are sometimes out doing tours, or interacting with guests, and there's a lot of people here that can assist if I'm not around.

1A. Check the weather before you arrive by doing a search on weather reports on websites. That's the most accurate way to get an update. We recommend weather apps like Wind Alert, that give time, temperature, by the hour, wind speeds, and condensation in either celsius or Fahrenheit and it is free.

1B. Have a backup plan in case you lose cellular reception.
1C. Set your time of arrival between 4-6p Anything earlier is fine. But after 7p the sun goes down and visibility affects people's ability to find the location as it gets really dark. The most success for arrival is when its still light and there are plenty of places open, and you can see things as you are driving.

We recommend that if guests cannot reach us to check in Kayenta, where there is wifi at the Mc Donalds and Burger King, and let us know you are leaving so we can expect you. Or Moab/Blanding for Utah travellers.

We meet people at gouldings lodge, gas station, grocery store or at the view hotel

1. Our outhouse design is found in almost every non major campground in the United States. No one that I am aware of, offers tent sites, with a toilet inside a tent, or in any camping area, you will have to walk to the outhouse in order to use it. Its just a plain fact of life for campground restrooms.

We use wood ash to control the bacteria and pests, and it is lit with solar path lighting and an automatic light inside. We have been to Goosenecks and other campgrounds, and ours has a lot more accessories and ours is much cleaner without the use of noxious and poisonous chemicals.

3. Gouldings and the View Hotel both use geo-coordinates to get you to them.

We offer $20 campsite bring your own tent, or sleep in your car, options, because we believe that everyone should have the ability to see the beautiful Monument Valley.

For lack cellular reception or services - not one of us own a cellular company or have any interest, permit or control over the contracts for the cellular towers. It is the cellular companies that are at fault, not technology or the Navajo that you do not have reception. In fact, we have the same problems as you do, with access to data or cellular services.

This accommodation's goals is to connect you to the Navajo daily experience, and way of life. The things that you do not have access to while here, are unavailable to many Navajo who live in poverty on the reservation.

4. You have to agree with us that you understand that you are renting a TENT with a campsite. There are sites for 20$ a night in our area, and you must bring your own tent for those. They do not give you heaters, they provide the same outhouse we do.

We are providing the campsite, with a tent for people who do not have one. These are 4 person coleman TENTS that have been upgraded to larger Kodiak tents. They are not hotel rooms and we are not compelled to any responsibility for the weather, or the temperature, or any element that we have no personal control over.

We are letting you know that we provide an ice house heater if you can pay for the propane, we can let you use it for your tent. Its not included in the price of the tent.

The RV and tent campers wherever you stay ALL have to use the outdoor community restroom and shower facility, and we are very clear, that this is not unusual for our area.

We provide water, and its used the way it always has been by the Navajo as cistern water, in containers.

This is an opportunity for you to experience and become connected to the Navajo experience. That cultural connection and understanding blooms into true friendships and beautiful memories.

We are a rare accommodation in line with airbnb promoted experience, connection with local people, and local culture, local conditions experienced in every day Navajo life while living life in one of the 7 Wonders of the World, and we are just a little above 3rd world conditions in the United States, as a Tribe.

Traditional Navajo have a unique lifestyle, and compared to many Airbnb listings may seem like third world or low income community. This exists today despite the hotel industry which has controlled this area for decades and is a real life testament to the lack of services provided to families while they dominate this area.

Our goal is to help you see that the wasteful desert metropolis's of US Cities specifically - Las Vegas, Phoenix and Los Angeles who extract coal and uranium from Indian Lands do so at the expense of Indigenous Peoples who live without access to electricity and running water in this year 2016.

Ahéhee' for your stay assisting the Tsís'ná Bighan Navajo Bee Cooperative project and our efforts for clean water, to restore traditional and dilapidated housing in the Monument Valley community from the Uranium Era.

Famille Fournier - France ----------------------------------------- Tsis'Na Bighan Campground is located on the road to the Monument Valley site. The owners, a lovely couple, live on site and are very welcoming. The place is simple but properly equipped. The large tent that we were rented was furnished with two double beds and a small sofa, we slept four without problems. The toilets are composed of two dry toilets and an outdoor shower, all in an ecological spirit of saving water resources. The owner provided us with overnight battery lighting and in the morning coffee was offered. The tent, bedding and sanitary facilities were all very clean and well maintained. We recommend this accommodation to travelers seeking unusual experiences and wishing to meet the inhabitants of this magnificent region. Fournier Family - France

I did not know what to expect and We didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and turned out to be a truly wonderful experience for my family (2 adults, 2 kids). The views were stunning and we lucked out with the weather as it was stormy, but it passed quickly and it was a relatively cool night for July. Great solar powered shower and clean out house, and much appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning! My kids loved the dogs Coco Channel and Benji!

Yá’át’ééh, this is Jenna, with Zhane and Libby and we are the first Airbnb listing here in Monument Valley with excellent reviews by Airbnb guests. Because we were the first to list we have the most experience in making airbnbers happy. We provide a connection to local Navajo neighborhoods and culture.

We have a community bee project far away inside Narrow Canyon, for phyto-remediation. But close to the tribal park, we rent tents and hogans, with others in our family, and share the space we have, with guests who visit the Navajo Tribal Park. We are convenient and accessible to all the activities in the park, and the grocery store, gas station and area attractions outside the Tribal Park.
