The house, on a quiet tree-lined street, 15 minutes walk from downtown Stratford, has a private backyard with flagstone patio and a shady front porch. A large eclectic collection of CDs and hundreds of books are available for guest use. Bright, comfortable home-away-from-home.
The main floor has high ceilings and lots of light, and consists of a small entrance foyer, living room with pine floors, baby grand piano and a 40" flat-screen TV concealed in an armoire, bright dining room, powder room with washer and dryer, and well-equipped sunny kitchen with dishwasher.
There are four bedrooms on the second floor, 3 with double beds and one queen, plus a separated bathroom and toilet.
The basement is one large room with old-style TV, VCR (!), DVD player and children’s toys.
Guests have the entire house at their disposal, except for the attic. An ideal place for two families, or 3-4 couples, to stay while in Stratford

A 30-year resident of Stratford, I know the city well. I have worked at the Stratford Festival and Stratford Chefs School, and am happy to provide advice on plays/productions, Stratford’s lively restaurant scene, and other activities of interest to visitors. When I am not available, I can easily be contacted by text or phone. I leave a list of restaurants, shops etc. at the house.
No smoking inside, but fine outside in the yard/patio and or on roofed front porch.
I live in Stratford Ontario, Canada. I am a freelance writer and editor - and know both the theatre and restaurant scenes very well. I am an avid traveller, especially love spending time in Europe. My house is full of books and CDs and I am a culinary enthusiast.
