Carraig Lodge, located in the delightful seaside village of Castlerock, Co Londonderry. Perfect for a quiet break, sight seeing, or outdoor activities such as surfing and golf. The vacation rental is within walking distances of most local amenities.
We have provided an exceedingly well equipped home from home for our guests. The 5* Quality Rating awarded is an indication of the standard of home that the guest will be staying in. In addition, this property has been registered with Tourism Northern Ireland (a legal requirement for all guest accommodation in Northern Ireland), aimed at giving guests reassurance and peace of mind.
Guests have full access to the entire property (including outdoor areas) during their stay. The integral garage has a sink and drying area. An extensive rear patio area has garden furniture and a BBQ for guest use. Generous off road parking is available for guests.

I like to contact guests, usually by email, before their arrival and I aim to meet and welcome them personally to Carraig Lodge when they do arrive. Prior contact gives me the opportunity to pass on information to guests about their accommodation as well as the local area and meeting guests on arrival allows both sides to put a face to the names. I can properly introduce them to their holiday home and answer any questions. I usually stay in the area when guests are in residence so that I can be on call for them, should the need arise.
A Good Housekeeping Deposit of £100 is due on arrival. This is generally refunded in full after guests leave, provided the property is left as found, there are no breakages or damage and use of oil, gas and electicity is not deemed excessive.
During June, July, August bookings are weekly, Saturday to Saturday only.
NW200 in May is weekly, with either Saturday or Sunday start date.
1. Guests and Entitlement.
The maximum number of 6 occupants (plus 1 toddler under 2 years in travel cot) must not be exceeded. In the event of any unauthorised person being found staying in the accommodation, the booking for the accommodation may be terminated forthwith without refund.
2. Access (Available from 4pm; departure by 10pm).
Your access time is agreed in advance of your arrival. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to arrive on the day or time arranged, please notify us immediately by telephone. Failure to do so may result in being unable to access the property when you do arrive and necessitate the arrangement of a new, mutually convenient, access time. The Property Owners will not be held responsible in such circumstances for delayed access.
If you should encounter any problem with your accommodation during your stay, you should notify the property owner immediately so that efforts can be made to rectify the problem.
4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the holiday home during the letting period and are expected to take reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils etc must be left clean and the home must be left clean and tidy at the end of the holiday. Any breakages and damages to the property or it contents are your responsibility and the property owners should be notified of these.
5. Property Ownership.
The property owner is entitled to ask the holidaymaker to leave the property without refund of monies should the behaviour of the holiday maker be deemed unacceptable.
6. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all persons take out adequate travel insurance for their needs. We cannot be responsible for the costs if you fail to do so. The insurance should cover you if you have to cancel your holiday or if you incur any emergency or unforeseen expenses. The personal liability cover provided should also meet the cost of any damage or breakages incurred during your holiday period. It is advisable to take out a policy at the same time as booking to ensure cover if you have to cancel for any reason.
7. Rights of Access
The owners reserve the right of entry to the accommodation at any time.
8. Loss of Accommodation
If, for whatever reason, the accommodation booked is not available, the liability of the owners in no circumstances exceeds a refund in excess of monies paid.
9. Travel Cot and High Chair
A high chair and a travel cot (including bedding) are available at no extra charge. Please advise at time of booking if a travel cot is required. The hirer is responsible for the safe use of this and other equipment.
The accommodation is smoke-free. We ask that you respect this and do not smoke any where in the building.
For Health and Safety reasons, please do not light candles in the property.
No responsibility will be accepted by the property owner for any accident or loss or damage to personal effects, baggage car or any other item belonging to the Hirer or the Hirer’s party, whether arising from the negligence of the owner, his agent or that of the Hirer or the Hirer’s party.
13. Good Housekeeping Deposit.
This deposit will normally be returned in full within two weeks of departure provided the property is left as found and use of oil, gas and electricity is not considered excessive. Please let us know of any breakages or damage immediately in order that these may be made good ASAP.
In the interests of guests with allergies, we unfortunately do not accept pets.
This is a family home and is not be used as a party venue.
Where possible, we email a full copy of Terms and Conditions to guests as these contain additional information of use to guests.
