My place is close to Pointe au Baril. You’ll love my place because of the quiet inlet, clean air, clean water, the views, the sunsets. Our place is water-access only (about a 25-minute motor-boat ride). We'll meet you on land at the dock and escort you there (and pick you up for your return trip). The cottage includes 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, a small row boat and a 14' aluminum motor-boat with a 20hp motor.
We have wonderful views overlooking the water and the dock and the view of the open Georgian Bay. The cottage smells of cedar as it's almost entirely constructed of cedar. There is a separate dining room for relaxing meals.
Guests will have access to the whole cottage. There is another small sleeping cabin on the north side of the island which is not included and may or may not be occupied.

We'll be nearby. Close enough to provide assistance, if needed.
Our inlet is very unique - very quiet - lots of canoes, kayaks and sail boats. Hardly any jet skis. From the dock you can only see one cottage, and from the back dock, no cottages!
The stairs going to the 2nd floor are unique. The treads alternate - it's kind of like a ladder!
- No bonfires, fireworks or open fires
- Pleasure Craft Operators Card is a requirement if you plan to operator the motor boat and are a Canadian resident
In travel I like some adventure, architecture, villages, learning how other people live, being active in nature (walking, swimming, sailing, photos). Career and volunteer efforts mostly around healthy air, clean water and the least toxic ways of living.
I like simplicity so our cottage was designed around that premise. Nothing fancy but a "real" cottage - you can hear the water, the wind in the trees, paddle all day and swim and lie on hot Georgian Bay rocks.
When I travel I love to see how other people live and to learn what works in different geographies, climates and cultures.
I know I'm on a real holiday when I can hear the roosters in the morning!
