I stayed at Mathieu's home for one month. It was a GREAT location! There's a wonderful little restaurant on the corner, Palais Des Saveurs, with excellent desserts and light meals. The apartment has tall ceilings and allowed me to feel less cramped in the overall small square footage of the apartment. Modern appliances, which I never used, washer and dryer, good shower, cool loft bedroom, and a door to separate yourself from the street noise.
It was a quiet street at night. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. During really hot days, I kept the drapes closed which kept the apartment nice and cool. Wifi was great, watching TV (only a few times, really) was easy, and I felt at ease, comfortable, and at-home.
It was very easy to communicate with Mathieu. He would get back to me pretty quickly through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). I only saw him at check-in, but he was very friendly.
The only criticism that I would give was that there was some dust issues for me. I used to sing for a living, so I may be more sensitive to it. The apartment overall was very clean, but when I clean the window area I found lots of black dust. There was something lost in translation when trying to get it resolved with an air-filter/purifier, and in the end I was able to somewhat better the situation on my own. This was, literally, the only hick-up in the entire stay.
I would easily recommend Mathieu's place to anyone who wants a taste of Bordeaux, a quiet place at night, and a great location to some wonderful restaurants and sights.
