The place was very clean, organized, and a perfect size for a couple.
Our flight arrived late, but Elena was very gracious in waiting to greet us at the gate. She gave a brief tour, and provided information about bus tickets and route to get to Venice attractions.
The location is close to a tobacco shop (which sold us tickets at half the price), however, the shop has odd hours and often times did not open until after 16:00. Upon our departure, the tobacco shop was open around 10:00 on a Sunday. Maybe it was due to long lunch hours?
Most of the restaurants and cafes did not open, or have food available until after 15:00. The only constant eatery was a "fast food" establishment called, Heaven Burger-- they had pretty good quality food, especially when compared to fast food chains in the U.S.
The bus to Venice comes every 20-40 minutes. The ride to Venice took around 25-35 minutes, but felt pretty quick due to enjoying all the scenery.
Samuel was very responsive with messages. We had issues with a window being blown open and stuck due to a windy storm. Samuel offered great advice in how to resolve the issue. Our water heater wasn't working upon arrival, and Samuel wasn't able to fix it until early afternoon, the next day. He also kindly fixed our stuck window. After fixing the water heater issue, the water would only stay warm for 2 minutes. That made for very adventurous cold showers. Luckily, we were able to shower quickly. We didn't message Samuel about the short duration of warm water because it didn't bother us as much.
Be careful during warm weather times because the apartment gets pretty hot and humid. The windows were wonderful, until the mosquitoes started eating us alive. However, Samuel provided amazing blackout blinds that kept some of the heat out. We also really appreciated having the ceiling fan and additional fan to keep us cool in the bedroom.
The wi-fi was amazing!
Our overall stay was good. It provided a nice, far getaway from all the tourists mania.
