Only 4 miles from Ashland, we are minutes away from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, great restaurants, wineries and shops, while living in a quiet small-town residential area. Comfortably appointed room, with balcony and own bathroom.
You'll have the entire 2nd floor to yourselves. Kitchen and laundry available downstairs, shared with the owners - a couple working from home with kids all grown and gone. If you like rocks, you're in heaven - our business is selling crystals, minerals & fossils, and we have some of our collection displayed in the house.
The view out the balcony is of nearby hills and our front yard. There are additional outdoor areas, if you want to enjoy a glass of wine on the patio. Central A/C as well as an additional window unit will keep you cool so you sleep well.
There is a mini-fridge and small microwave in the room, to allow you to enjoy leftovers whenever you like :) Also, we provide a small coffee pot and complementary coffee grounds. Drinking glasses, towels and soap are provided, too.
Due to dietary preferences, we cook all our meals at home, so we will want to coordinate kitchen use, if you want to use it. But there are plenty of restaurants in the area, too.
Entry is through the house, but you have your own sitting area, and there is WiFi in the house if you want to watch Netflix on your laptops. Any other areas are open for sharing - we'll just work it out! We are quiet and easygoing, so it shouldn't be difficult.

Meesha is available most of the time, in the afternoons and evenings, and Scott is also happy to help if he isn't doing a Gem Show during your stay. Meesha is a night-person, so late check-ins shouldn't be a problem, just communicate your needs to us.
We enjoy music, so - if you are so inclined - bring along your instruments or borrow one of our guitars so we can have a little impromptu music...
If you're planning a surprise for your Honey, let us know ahead of time and we can pick up flowers or wine to greet you on your arrival. Anything else you need, feel free to ask.
Check-in and out is flexible, unless we have guests coming the next night. If so, we need time to prepare for them, so ask for check-out around noon. If not, let us know if you want a later check out. Since Meesha is up late at night, late check-ins are fine.
We do have a very shy cat, who is not allowed upstairs. As long as you keep the door closed, she shouldn't bother you. We keep her out of that area in consideration of any guests who might have allergies.
Meesha has insomnia so tends to be a night owl; if you can please remember that in the mornings, we'd sure appreciate it. Thanks!
Please no smoking on the premises (including marijuana), as the smoke is very hard on our lungs.
We prefer no additional guests in our home without prior arrangements.
Please tidy up after yourself in the kitchen and laundry, if you use those areas.
Meesha's disability makes her very sensitive to any scents . So we ask that no incense, scented candles or strong perfumes be used on the premises. Sorry for any inconvenience - thanks for your understanding!
We like to be here when you arrive, so we can show you around and answer any questions. So we plan our day around your ETA for arrival. If you could please keep us updated, as soon as you know if you're going to be arriving at a different time, we very much appreciate that.
Because we have cats of our own (who we don't let into the guest room), and because we want to keep the room as free of allergens as possible for guests, we do not allow visiting pets. Sorry!
We are a middle aged couple, together for over 12 years, with two grown kids and an adorable granddaughter. Scott is a rockhound, entrepreneur and musician, and Meesha is an artist, singer, and advocate for improving the lives of the mentally ill. We love Nature and anything that promotes Peace in the world - like getting to know other people!
