Our 3 bedroom / 2 bath rustic Ranch House comfortably accommodates 6 - 8 (1 King, 1 Queen, and 2 bunk beds (single/single and single/double) with luxury linens for the most discriminating travelers. The Ranch House offers the best of yesterday with the luxuries of today. For larger parties, The Ranch House can accommodate up to 10 people using pull out sofa in great room.
Fully equipped kitchen. 2 quaint bathrooms (pedestal tub/shower in the guest suite and a candlelit fireplace shower in the master suite) with custom furnishings throughout. Careful preservation and upgrades adorn this historic treasure.
We invite you to come discover this exceptional retreat, in a secluded canyon on 50+ acres, (1/4 mile off a quiet residential road). Features include: custom kitchen with radiant-heat tiled floors, tiled counters, custom redwood cabinets, spacious great room with majestic river rock fireplace, original wide plank redwood floors, original 'twig furniture,' Native American and early Californian art, 8' pool table, massive outdoor stone fireplace on terrace, new private hot tub, seasonal creek, and plenty of land to hike on and explore with exclusive, private trail head access to Garland Regional Park.

If you would like to bring your well-behaved dog with you, please ask first. There is an additional $25 fee per dog to cover extra housekeeping and owners must agree to abide by our house rules for dogs: "no dogs on furniture", "no dogs left on property unattended", "pick up waste after your pet", and "dogs on leash outside of low-fenced yard".
We will pay all utility costs (water, heat, electric, WiFi, trash removal, and local and domestic long-distance telephone charges)
Linens and Supplies:
We will provide linens and towels, as well as starter paper products, soaps and detergents. Firewood and kindling will be provided.

The property will not be occupied by more people/pets than we have specified in this agreement.
Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
The use of illegal drugs are prohibited on the property.
The use of firearms is prohibited on the property.
Please honor outdoor quiet time between the hours of 10PM and 9AM.
Please be advised that this property has not been modified for wheelchair/handicapped access.
If during your stay something should get damaged or broken, please notify us immediately so that it can be repaired or replaced at once.
Tenant and Guests will hold the owners and agents harmless and free and clear of any liability or responsibility arising from occupancy of The Ranch House and surrounding property, or damage to self, guests, or property resulting from conduct of tenant and/or their guests. This shall include the use of any equipment on the property or any activity that takes place on the property.
We ask that you respect the natural quiet of the forest, and you, and your guests shall not disturb, annoy, endanger or interfere with our animal neighbors by excessive entertaining. The Ranch House is not a “Party House” for entertaining beyond your group. This contract is for accommodation of your stated number of guests.
Using the premises for entertaining is a breach of contract and can allow owners to request guests’ departure before their contracted departure date without refund.

Vacation rental host: Colleen is 4th generation family partner and Chief Steward of Operations for the family's 50 acre Carmel Valley working ranch and 1930 cabin which is available to rent for vacation use and small gatherings.
Retreat Host: Colleen offers retreats and workshops at her family's Carmel Valley heritage property. Her passion for helping people heal from life traumas and her dad's horse boarding business inspired the creation of HEARTland: hosted equine assisted retreats and training, a collaborative effort featuring the work of Dr. Robert Magnelli and his Horsepower Program. on Colleen's family property.
Outreach: Colleen serves SF Bay Area and Monterey Peninsula communities with adoption education, post adoption retreats, grief work, and spiritual renewal workshops.
Creative Collaborator: Colleen envisions a culture that recognizes adoption as a positive option with respect and honor instead of shame and neglect. Builds co-ministry partnerships with neighboring ministries and services to provide genuine care for women, children and families.
Speaker: Colleen speaks to churches, and community organizations, sharing her experience as an adoptive parent and as former Director of Outreach with Bethany Christian Services - SF Bay Area.

Coach: Colleen is trained and certified as Personal Life Coach and built Heart and Hand Coach offering coaching to women for several years.
Wife and Mother: Colleen and her husband celebrate 27 years married this year, and are blessed to love and raise their two terrific children. A mini Australian Labradoodle, and Siamese cat complete their family with quirky adventures and laughter.
