The Situation: En Route to Tagaytay around noon, me and my companions decided to book a room in Tagaytay for the night. I saw this listing and booked it around 1:45pm on the same day. I understand that it will take some time for her to respond and confirm because we only booked on the day itself.
We were confirmed by 3:24pm.
Regardless of our time of arrival, she asked if we can check in at 5:00pm instead. I said OK because we were still running errands that time.
When we got to call each other, she pushed back if we can check in at 6:00pm instead. Being considerate since we booked on the same day, I said OK again.
Come 6:00pm, still no one to accommodate us and give us access to the condo unit. I called her but only to find out that the person who has the access is not yet in the venue. She was stuck in traffic. - STRIKE ONE.
SO I SAID OKAY AGAIN. WHAT CAN WE DO, RIGHT?
Come 7:00pm, the staff who had the access arrived, we hurriedly registered at the condo security and we got to check in already.
Upon reaching the condo, the staff wash rushing to the room only to find out that there was a group occupying the room - who knows her. She immediately had the group vacate the unit. I was PUZZLED. - STRIKE TWO.
When we entered the condo, just by the looks, IT WILL NOT FIT 5 PEOPLE COMFORTABLY. In the listing, it was mentioned it had 3 beds, so I was expecting a larger place. But no, It was a STUDIO unit, not even a ONE BEDROOM unit. It really felt very cramped even if we sleep on the floor. We even had to re-configure our sleeping assignments. In short, it was not worth what we paid for. Again, I had to let it go again because I did not bother to check other listings. Urgency got the best of me.
Around 4:45am, I was ready to sleep on the floor and suddenly, something dripped. IT WAS THE AIRCON. It was dripping until we left in the morning. I texted her but she told me that there is no maintenance during Sundays. She even asked me to put a basin to catch the water. That night/morning, I slept beside the bathroom door. It was an awful experience. - STRIKE THREE.
The next morning, as we were about to leave, again, the staff was unreachable. So I called Kate instead. She told us to just leave the door unlocked and just leave the key on the table. Explaining the aircon situation, she offered a 500 discount for the next booking. ALL THAT TROUBLE FOR JUST 500 PESOS OR 27USD.
Sorry, but I think we've experience enough, and not enough to book again just for the 500 PESO discount.
