Newly finished studio, a mile from Amherst Center, UMass, Hampshire, Amherst College. 500 sq.ft. with two futons, wardrobe, bathroom, kitchen, desk, breakfast nook, & more. A finished basement, lots of light, dry & temperate with gas fireplace.
The space is a basement that we finished last year with an eye to making it stylish and comfortable. It's a studio but the main sleeping space is somewhat divided from the main living space and the kitchen. The sleeping room has a wardrobe and a very comfortable futon; the living area has another (smaller) futon, a desk, and chair; the kitchen is done in funky Mexican tile with a breakfast bar, has three stools, an apt.-size fridge, and Waring convection oven and burners; the bathroom is also tiled with a shower but no bath.
The space is very bright and dry and comfortable. There's a direct-vent gas stove for heat, and the only thing really basement-y about it is the rather low ceiling (at six feet, nine inches probably not ideal for tall guests).
In addition to the apt., guests have access to the outside patio area with a nice view of the garden and backyard (with birds and occasional turkey and deer) as well as the unfinished part of the basement with ping-pong table and washer and dryer.
Guests enter the apt. from a private entrance around back and may come and go as they please. The apt. entrance is through the garage and the unfinished part of the basement, and both entrances have locks with key codes.

We live upstairs and are available to help with anything you need. The outside patio is somewhat communal though guests have their own section if they wish to hang out or dine outside.
No smoking in the apt. but guests may smoke on the back patio.
