As owner of Villa Palma I grew up between Hvar Island and Split. Although in recent years I have embarked upon a career at sea working as Chief Officer for Cunard and P&O Cruises, the majority of my family and relatives still live in Sucuraj and are active in the fishing community as well as producing honey and wine.
During my time at sea I have met my wife Francesca, who is Anglo-Italian. She has worked within the hospitality and events industry. During our holidays we enjoy spending time with our family and friends both on the island of Hvar and Taormina, Sicily.
Our holidays in Sucuraj are characterized by leisurely days on the local beach which is only a stone’s throw away, discovering by scooter / boat the other beautiful beaches and sights that the island of Hvar has to offer and in the evenings enjoying barbecued fish and local wine in the peace and tranquillity of Villa Palma’s garden.
The estate on which Villa Palma lies has been in my family for several generations and was used only as agricultural land. In 2005 I embarked upon a new project; designing and building a home from home on this land that my guests could enjoy. Today Villa Palma is truly a unique property – positioned at the highest point in town overlooking the marina and the lush green countryside all around.
