My place is close to family-friendly activities, restaurants gas station and breakfast, great views, and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the high ceiling, beams and the peace and quiet. My place is good for couples and families (with kids over the age of 6 or 7 so they do not fall down the stairs-no gate). Winter seasonal available.
Has a soaring 20 foot Cathedral ceiling which most apartments do not. Has a tiled bathroom with a cathedral ceiling. Bay window. All electric. WiFi can be taken from the main house without a problem, possibly a little slower but not much as we have Spectrum. Has a couch that is really a hi-riser with two comfortable twin mattresses, one recliner and a small area rug. No TV. Bring your laptop. Microwave, utensils, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, towels, soap and shampoo, just like home.
You have access to everything in the top floor guest house and can come to the main house to visit our vintage shop and or sit on our veranda. I will tell you the history of the town and this historic house. You have a nice big side yard which has a big fire pit for a few pieces of wood but you must tell me so I can call the fire permit people first. Please reserve this apartment at least 1 days in advance, Thursday at 5 the latest and tell me what time you will arrive. 2-3 nights required on large weekends and 2 nights for all weekends.

I am almost always here and the phone is on me constantly so you can call after 12 noon till 11PM.
Many things to do in this area of the Catskills. Concerts, the Belleayre Beach, Community center with many things going on daily, thrift shop, restaurants, library, museum, flea markets, hiking, biking, tubing, kayaking, fishing---you name it and we have it.
- Guests should be consider of other people below them, keep everything low after 11PM When leaving in the morning go down the stairs quietly as the downstairs bedroom is next to the staircase.
- It would be best to take your shoes off at the top of the stairs. No gate at the top of the stairs for children.
Experienced Innkeeper. I enjoy hikers, bikers, extreme bikers, writers, artists, musicians(we have a square grand) and really anyone in the world who would appreciate the quiet of the mountains and the ambiance of a 119 year old house. We have a very casual atmosphere and love chatting and drinking tea on the veranda or small vintage shop. I lived in NY city almost all my life and was a marketing consultant and a lecturer at Queens College but spent my summers here every summer of my life till age 19.
I enjoy the peace and solitude of the mountains and nature around me. I am very knowledgable about this area due to my family coming here since the early 40s.
My motto is If Not Now? When?
The house is very quiet and peaceful. It is 119 years old and not a cookie cutter room, you should love antiques, woodwork and old houses. I know this area like the back of my hand and can tell you the history of it and the history of the house. There is a dog in the house but he never goes in the rooms. He is a therapy dog. I love vintage jewelry, actually anything old, the mountains, organic food and Woodstock NY. I love having guests from all over the world as there is so much to learn from them.
