Sarah's review is curious, as she was not our guest and never stayed with us. Instead, her mother, Karen Cota, was the guest. Sarah saw our home only briefly.
The floors were sticky simply because they had just been mopped -- something Mrs. Cota was told at the time and it was perfectly fine with her. Indeed, the room cleaning had just finished when the doorbell rang and the guest arrived with Sarah in tow.
While we appreciate Sarah's architectural endorsement that we have a house that is "charming" and "eclectic," we vehemently reject her claim that, because the house is old (built in 1926), somehow that means it is "overall not super clean." We have Superhost status because we are conscientious about essentials like cleaning.
Finally, we don't apologize for the "dated" decor. Indeed, we replaced the bathtub faucet recently and ordered it from a company called Vintage Tub & Bath. Most guests like vintage things. That's why they are expensive.
