Minutes from downtown in historic 1920's shotgun house. Award winning renovation and design, private entry, in a developing urban creative area of Dallas. It's a unique space, so vintage yet with all the modern comforts! Only in town one night? Contact me and I'll see if it works!
A few minutes from downtown in a developing artistic community, this is a cozy shotgun house. It has a private entry, full kitchen, free street parking and most importantly the comforts of home in a uniquely renovated space. Pine shiplap walls hung with original art, high 11 foot ceilings, hardwood floors and cleverly reused materials are throughout. The main room is both living room and small kitchen with sofa area and table for dining or for use as a writing table. The bedroom is curtained off of the main room, has a very comfortable double bed with all cotton sheets and duvet covered comforter. The TV is in this room for watching in bed. In the hall is a washer and dryer, drawers for clothing and storage. There is a separate modern bathroom, with tub and shower combo. A well behaved pet is allowed with prior approval.
You will have a gate entry with a keybox for entry.

I'm available for any questions or concerns- the place is yours while you are there, within the house rules of course! I am close by if you need anything at all.
The Cedars is a transitional urban area which has become a home for many creatives with work/live spaces, galleries and night life. The shotgun house and cabin are very close to the most fantastic dive bar, Lee Harvey's. They do have live music on the weekends, and it can be loud but also lots of fun. It's a great place to check out, and try their burgers!
Absolutely no smoking inside. Respect this beautiful old house and what is inside it, the objects and the art. Respect the neighbors and the fact you are a guest. Leave the space as nice as when you arrived- it makes it great for the whole airbnb community. A well-behaved pet by prior approval only.
Hello- I'm Julie! I love to travel and enjoy staying in interesting places. On this side I truly enjoy hosting and making everyone's experience as great as I would want it myself. I want my guests to feel at home- and that they are being well cared for. I'm a native Texan, spent many years in Memphis and a few in Europe. I've worked in the photo industry as a set designer and prop stylist for over 15 years. My love of treasure hunting has also spilled over into the estate sale and antique dealer world. I love creating unique and beautiful spaces with the interesting things I find along the way.
