A Georgian gem, in magical Meath, nestles in lush parkland, far from the madding crowd, but not an hour from Dublin. The gentle harmony of horses grazing, crying Peacocks and whispering trees, will transport you to another soundscape, another era.
I would expect by my guests to be respectful of the space in which we live and not to smoke in the house. Pets are allowed but they must be friendly to other animals and be clean.

Mountainstown has been an all-consuming project since we moved here as a family eleven years ago. I am almost constantly on the go in this rambling yet elegant country house,: gardening, emptying cupboards, renovating , fixing old brass doorknobs, throwing house parties, dusting books, hanging pictures, hosting the hunt... but I still find time to follow my greatest passions. I am an artist (trees are my thing at the moment) and horsewoman (we have four gorgeous horses in the yard) .We love animals - we always seem to have a rambunctious menagerie around us - currently dogs, cats, fish, peacocks and a canary - and can I include three teenage children?! All of whom contribute to the definitely eccentric and happily informal way we live here in the heart of the beautiful and historic Meath countryside.
