This cozy 1 bedroom apartment is situated on a quiet block in one of Brooklyn's best neighborhoods. You'll be just a short walk from some of the best restaurants, bars and shopping. Enjoy a cozy living room, full kitchen and a super comfy queen bed.
Challen was a great host. She arranged 2 sets of keys for me and my girlfriend, had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon check-in, and left no detail ignored. The apartment itself has tons of charm, is brightly decorated, and definitely lifts your mood. The neighborhood is one of my favorites in brooklyn - relaxed and not too high tempo, with nice shops and restaurants right next door. Highly recommend and will stay again.
Challen is an excellent host! This was my first AirBnB stay and she was not only very responsive to my last minute request but also very descriptive and willing to assist with any issues that I had. The apartment is super roomy and absolutely lovely. The neighborhood is quite and just a short walk to a number of restaurants or metroline to NYC. Definitely worth the stay - regardless if you're staying in Brooklyn or NYC, Challen makes it easy and comfortable.
The apartment could not have been more welcoming after a long flight from the West coast and after long days at my Brooklyn office. Bed was sooo comfortable and apartment very clean and un-cluttered. Challen definitely has good design sensibility and I really appreciated the beautiful bowls and glassware in her cupboards. Felt like I was home. Thank you!
We stayed at Challen's apartment for three nights in December. It's a cozy 2nd floor walk-up on a nice block in Carroll Gardens -- not huge, but with everything we needed for a short stay. The kitchen has all the essentials, so you can easily use it to prepare breakfast and lunch; cooking a dinner there would probably require some work, and there's no dining room table. The bed was large and very comfortable. Unlike many owner-occupied airbnb apartments, there is enough space in the closet and dresser to store your clothing, so you don't have to live out of a suitcase all the time. The best thing about staying there is Challen's helpfulness. She sent us a stream of e-mails both before and during our visit about places to eat and visit. And when we alerted her to a temporary problem with the supply of hot water into the apartment, she was able to get the landlord to fix it quickly, even though she was away on a trip. (We never actually met her.) So all in all, a very good option for a visit to New York City.
