Sleep well! Airy and bright room with pleasant, colorful decor. Very comfy, firm pillow-top queen bed for one or two guests. Charming, inviting home with tropical and antique decor. Beautiful neighborhood with ocean just steps away. 7-10 minutes to Lanikai and Kailua Beaches and Kailua town. Easy access to H-3 and Pali Highway, MCBH, restaurants, grocery, all of Oahu. 25-minute drives to Honolulu and airport. Peaceful and quiet, listen to the ocean at night and the birds in the morning.
Theresa and Dave welcome you!
Our house is a lovely '50s-era vintage home, mostly original design, charming and well-lived in with tropical jalousie windows to let the ocean breezes flow.
Enjoy the cool feel of Mexican tile and bamboo flooring underfoot. Plenty of on-site parking.
The room is quiet, bright and pleasant, set up with a single bed, desk, dresser, & shelves. With windows on two sides to let the rustling breezes flow, it is private and breezily peaceful. Light bamboo flooring and wood decor with tropical touches.
The neighborhood is filled with lovely homes and yards, and friendly, quiet neighbors. It's a great place to bike, walk or jog and enjoy the balmy air. An early morning or evening walk to the nearby beaches sets the tone.
We have lots of palm trees and trade winds to enjoy, and a quirky cat named Kekko. The backyard is fenced and private. There is no road noise to harsh your Hawaii bliss, yet it's a quick ride to everything Kailua and the rest of the island.
We leave the house early most weekdays, and enjoy quiet afternoons and evenings, out on the lawn, around the dining room table, on the computer or listening to Pandora Radio or Radio Paradise.
Our greatest wish is that you have a great vacation. We want you to be comfortable and make the most of your visit. If there's anything we can help you with or need to attend to, please let us know!
Truly peaceful and quiet, listen to the ocean at night and the birds in the morning!
And if there is a pile of paperwork or clutter here and there--please ignore. We are working on it!
1. Full bath down the hall, with fluffy towels, soap, shampoo, etc.

2. Mini-fridge is available for your food and drinks. Cereal and milk, yogurt, fruit, biscotti, are usually available in the main kitchen for you breakfast needs; also tea and freshly ground coffee, perhaps even a bit of chocolate to wake you up.
3. W/D: Theresa will be happy to operate the washer for you.
4. Beach towels are on shelves in the laundry room, opposite the mini-fridge.
5. Outdoor table and chairs on lawn.
6. Boogie boards, cooler, beach chairs, snorkel gear available upon request.
7. On-site parking. Please pull all the way forward and to the left. If a guest is already here and has taken that spot, please park in the yard right on the grass behind the big hedge.

We enjoy getting to know guests and are happy to help you in your exploration of Oahu, and the Neighbor Islands.
We hike and snorkel and have our favorites places on Oahu we'd love to share with you.
We welcome your inquiries and want to help you have an enjoyable stay, whether extreme adventure or ultra-serene, or somewhere in between.
Whatever your life's adventures, getting to know you enriches ours!
We have a sprinkler system that cycles through 5 different parts of the yard between about 6am and 7am. It sputters a bit to start, so don't be startled. You might get sprinkled if you're on the lawn at that hour.
The neighborhood is generally very peaceful with the sound of the ocean and the breezes, but there may be occasional helicopter or other noise due to activity on nearby MCBH. We cannot predict when there will be noise, but it is rare and generally not a problem.
We rely on the trade winds for ventilation. We have lots of windows and fans, but on hot, still, humid days it gets warm inside.
Kailua is sometimes rainy and windy. A jacket/sweater is always a good idea to have on hand, especially for beach and air-conditioned stores, theaters, etc.
If the Base is very loud or the winds are really strong and bother your sleep, we have earplugs for you to use in the bathroom drawer.
