We would like to introduce, from August 2013, the opportunity to rent our house, Ty Venoc (Venoc's house in Breton), our converted barn near the coast.
Ty Venoc is located in Audierne's bay, 400 meters from the coastline, close to coves and beaches which are still in a very natural state, such as the Gwendrez surf spot.
5km away, the town of Audierne and its port, or the medieval town of Pont-Croix both offer the opportunity of memorable walks, horse riding, cycling or canoeing.
The beautiful city of Douarnenez and the charming city of Quimper offer a real taste of the Breton way of life and are less than half an hour away by car. The barn is situated in the Cap-Sizun with its famous Pointe-du-Raz which is listed among the ‘Great sites of France’.
Ty Venoc is an old, traditional detached barn, fully refurbished by a Breton architect who received several awards for his contemporary works. The barn belongs to a farm located beside the hamlet of Kerdréal which overlooks the sea.
As an authentic, family farm we like to preserve an organic, natural way of life. It is surrounded by 4 acres of fields owned by the proprietor.
This barn, 84 square meters large with independent access, is mainly facing towards the enclosed garden with high stone walls which assure its privacy. A long bay window along the kitchen and the living room offers a pleasant view of the garden, particularly at sunset. The bedroom faces south-east and onto the Eckmühl lighthouse.
This spacious lodging is designed for a couple, however, as well as the bedroom, on a little mezzanine, a mattress can be used to sleep a third person. The bathroom has a large Italian shower and the up market fitted kitchen was created by an Italian designer. The Stûv stove, thanks to its remarkable design and energy efficiency, can provide, if you need it, some warmth to add to the rustic character of the sea air !
