Our 1 bedroom apartment is set up like a studio with a mini kitchen, yet it has a great kid-sized bedroom and futon couch. Equipped with surround-sound, a pimped out shower, a comfortable bed and stylish furniture, you're sure to feel relaxed and at home.
Once set up as a recording studio, this space is complete with a surround-sound and a sound proof room! There is plenty of space for anyone needing a private office or a separate bedroom, but we've set up the main front room studio style, with the bedroom, kitchen and living area in one room. Note that the mini-kitchen includes a small sink (no dishwasher), a 2 burner electric stovetop, a small refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker. It's not set up for hosting dinner parties or making interesting cuisine. It's designed for very basic cooking.
The 'kids' bedroom is soundproof and equipped with one twin bed. A second crib or convertible crib can be added if desired. There is a full size closet (we don't keep our clothes in your space!!) and plenty of storage space. We provide luggage racks as well, to make things easy for travelers. The bathroom is set up as a half bath, with a shower in a separate room (next to the kids room). There are doors to separate everything, but it might be strange bathroom set up for co-workers traveling together. It is a great space for couples and young families. Shower with water coming from all directions!
As there is a shortage of short-term rentals in this area, we are fine to rent out the unit for up to 90 days.
Guests in our 1 bedroom apartment have a fully private unit, with it's own patio area and mini kitchen area. In addition, Unit 4 and Unit 5 share a laundry room. Laundry hours are 10am to 9pm, as we don't want it to impact anyone's sleep!
Dedicated parking is located mid-way up the driveway. There are also beautiful trails around the property for you to enjoy. You may also spot deer, beautiful birds, squirrels and coy fish on the property!
Note that the sauna next to the unit is not functional and not for guest use :-(.

Amanda your main point of contact is available by phone and lives about 7 minutes away. Kathy is Gary's assistant and is also available to help. Upon booking, I'll send you other phone numbers in case I'm traveling or out of town. Gary, the owner, lives on the property but is quite busy with his work. You should call Amanda or Kathy before the owner, as we are on call to help you with any question that might arise. Between us, we are a team of people who truly value our Airbnb guests. Please drive slowly on the narrow neighborhood road, as a lot of people are out jogging and walking their dogs - and even deer during the evening. If you are arriving after dark, the property is a little hard to spot, so it's best to have GPS. If you don't have GPS, please contact Amanda so that she can give you some driving tips. Upon arrival, you'll enter a steep driveway. You'll park in the first parking area to the right.
For bookings over 3 weeks, we can refer you to a cleaning service to come every two weeks to clean the bathroom, kitchen and floors. Please let me know if you want more info. ($80 per cleaning).

Garbage can be placed at the end of the driveway. Please keep noise levels down after 9PM and before 6AM. There is a washer/dryer accessible to guests. Please make sure to remove your laundry after use so that other guests and the cleaning team do not have to worry about your things. This home is not suitable for pets of any kind. Please note: the owner lives on the property.

No partying, no smoking, and no drugs. To help us monitor your compliance with our house rules, we use a signal detection box in our home that will send us reports regarding the total number of devices in our home at any one time. We want to assure you though that we will not receive any personal information in these reports or even any information about any one individual device. If you want to see the very limited data that this box collects from devices in order to report this aggregate info to us, please ask me for more info.
