This quaint family house is situated in the heart of Skipton. Dating from the 17th century, it is part of the old stable buildings that served Skipton castle.
You’ll find all manner of local amenities a stone’s throw from the doorstep, with easy access to pubs, shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Closely situated by Skipton woods – an excellent spot for dog walking – this house is perfect for people wanting to explore the rest of the Yorkshire Dales or just passing through.
The house features a large open-plan attic space with a double bed and sofa bed, a single bedroom and a double bedroom. There is one bathroom, situated on the first floor (upstairs) with an overhead shower.
The property can comfortably house five. However, there are sleeping facilities for six with a sofa bed situated in the upstairs loft area. Please let me know in advance if you will be requiring the sofa bed so I can make it prior to your arrival.
A well-behaved dog is welcome and is charged at £10 extra. Children under two can be accommodated and are not counted in the numbers but please inquire before booking. Please note that there are no stair gates and as it is an old building the stairs are very steep in places but we can provide a high chair if requested in advance.
The living room features dining facilities for six, a 32" TV complete with Blu-ray player (also plays DVDs) a collection of DVDs, games, books and other bits and bobs to keep you occupied during your stay. The kitchen, though cosy, still features all the necessities for cooking at home.

Enjoy your stay!

I'd also dearly appreciate if you leave the house as you found it, I renovated the property myself so I like it to be looked after :)
Arrival times are from 4pm and departure is by 12 noon. However, these times are now negotiable as I now have a key safe, just contact me to discuss.
As a guest I like walking in the local area, and meeting people.
As a host I try to be warm and approachable and trusting that my guests will enjoy their stay in the house but also in Skipton, as it really is the gateway to the Dales but more!!!
I love traveling and I wish to visit more countries in the world. This Spring I went to Nepal, what an amazing country but they are struggling after the earthquake.
I love eating out , watching films like Amelie , and reading Thomas Hardy. I also love art galleries and textiles. I can recommend the Plaza cinema in Skipton it is a classic cinema.
Enjoy your visit!
