This charming log cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Sit back on the spacious covered deck and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views or pick wild flowers as you stroll along the quiet dirt road. Property also features great cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and VAST trail access.
Open layout with one bedroom downstairs and a loft room upstairs. A full kitchen includes everything you need to turn your local farmers' market finds into gourmet meals: four-burner gas range/oven, microwave, full-size fridge/freezer, place settings, cookware, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, and more. There is also a gas grill on the deck. When in season, we can provide complementary fresh picked herbs, greens, and vegetables for our extended stay guests. Organic chicken eggs, grass-fed beef, and maple syrup are available for purchase from our farm next door.
Guests have access to the cabin, yard, and woods. The property is located on a peaceful, traffic-free country road that is perfect for walking and viewing wildlife. There is also great snowshoeing and cross country skiing and access to the VAST snowmobile trail system.
We strongly believe in the use of local natural and organic products. We use natural laundry detergent, cleaners and locally made hand soap in the bathroom. The cabin is free from synthetic cleaning agents or fragrances.
Just a few house rules...
We ask that our guests refrain from wearing their shoes while inside.
Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin, if you smoke please do so outside and dispose of butts appropriately.
Pets considered, but please no aggressive breeds. We have chickens, ducks, and other farm critters on the adjacent property. We do charge a $25.00 cleaning fee for guests with pets.
We live on the farm property next door and are available to assist with directions or provide suggestions on everything from sightseeing to yoga classes to restaurants. We are also happy to show you around our family farm. At various times we have chickens, turkeys, ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, and cows. We also grow organic fruits, vegetables and berries and make our own maple syrup.
