Porto is such a great city! This apartment was also so adorable and cozy. Unfortunately there were a few issues:
The first was check in. It doesn't say it unless you scroll all the way down on the listing, but if you're checking in on a Monday, you can't check in until after 6:30pm. Luckily I was in touch with Dulce two days beforehand and she was able to arrange the cleaning person to come meet me, but it was a small hassle to arrange.
Second was the NOISE. I can deal with noise - I've lived in New York City above a subway station. But there was a stop light or something outside the apartment that beeped literally 24/7, no matter what time it was. A constant beeping that you can hear even with all the windows and shutters closed. I did not get any sleep at all the first night. I bought ear plugs the next day and my following 2 nights were fine.
Third is the temperature. If you're staying there in the summer it is very hot where the bed is in the loft, even with the windows open. I brought the (twin) cot downstairs and used it for the following 2 nights and that worked out okay.
Other than that, the location is great - just a short walk to anywhere you would want to see in Porto. Dulce was very responsive to my texts and aside from that first night being unprepared for the sleeping arrangement, I had an enjoyable trip.
