This apartment was absolutely gorgeous. The photos do not do the porch justice - it is huge! We loved our time here. A few minor cons include extremely low water pressure, noisy children running around and crying directly above the bedroom, and rather strict house rules. The towels, sheets, and blankets are pristine and white and rules call out that you are not allowed to use towels to wash off your makeup or bring them to the beach, etc. I think Elisabetta and Ricardo could provide a pair of cheap beach towels to the guests. Who travels thousands of miles with a towel in their suitcase? No one! So it was kind of amusing to read "please use your own beach towels" in the rule book upon our arrival, and I definitely lived in fear of doing something that they would later charge me for (didn't happen, though). Parking is extremely expensive, so keep that in mind if you are driving around the country. My husband and I opted to park in the only affordable lot, which was a 20 minute uphill walk from the apartment, and that meant that we had a nice warm-up hike each morning to the car, which we then drove to La Spezia to take the train to Cinque Terre. We didn't mind this, but if you are not interested in that much hassle, consider staying in one of the Cinque Terre, instead. Overall this was a wonderful spot for launching day trips to Cinque Terre and returning to a quieter location each night. Thanks, Elisabetta and Ricardo!
