The property has parking, doors to the courtyard, patio with views looking onto a beautiful fairway, and a path to the gardens, fire pit, ruins and historic canal.

The cottage is well situated for exploring the area, being just 5 minutes drive from Rosslyn chapel, (which you can also walk to from the cottage by following the path through the glen.)The Pentland hills are only 10 minutes drive, and it takes less than 30 minutes to drive to edinburgh city centre. It is a great place to come home to after a day of hillwalking ,working or sight seeing.

A large south facing window in the main room overlooks the woodland garden and Shiplaw burn. There is a workspace/single bedroom for an extra guest. We are located within one of the biggest habitat restoration projects in Europe and are five minutes walk from a regular bus service to Edinburgh and across the Borders.

This Grade A listed lodge has been lovingly restored and completely remodelled to provide a luxury romantic hideaway. With its original character, super king bedroom room suite and sunken hot tub in its sunken garden, under the tree canopy, Westlin has a cheeky charm we all fall for.
