Best of Vienna Walking Tour
Discover Vienna's historic old town on a fun and comprehensive walking tour with me. We leave the big tour groups behind and explore the city in our own small team. Let's make it interactive - there are no dumb questions ;) We start on the banks of the Danube canal to find out why the Romans decided to settled down here of all places. A short walk later we marvel at the impressive tower of St. Stephen's Cathedral while I tell you about its hidden symbolism of numbers. Further highlights on the way include Mozart's apartment, the old Greek quarter, romantic hidden alleys and courtyards, the Spanish Riding School as well as an almost real da Vinci. Upon arrival at the vast Hofburg Palace complex we will finally talk about the rise of the mightiest family in the history of Europe: the Habsburgs. But Vienna's history doesn't stop with the fall of the Habsburgs: where did Hitler speak in front of 200,000 cheering Austrians? And what makes modern-day Vienna the city with the highest standard of living worldwide? While taking in the beauty of the city I will keep you entertained with the best stories about its past and present - plus some questionable jokes! Keep in mind that we finish at Albertinaplatz, not where we met at the beginning.

Great Taste of Vienna
Looking for a fun and tasty experience in Vienna? You've just found it! This Vienna food tour will take you on a culinary adventure through the city, from cafes to street stalls to upscale dining. First up, because it would be rude of us not to offer you a coffee and breakfast before getting started. Instead of going to one of the famous Viennese coffee houses, where mainly tourists wait in line, we will head to one of the few cafes that locals visit in the 1st district. Then, we’ll head into a lively part of the city where most tourists would never think to go. It’s here that we’ll enjoy our first lunch (yes, there will be multiple lunches!), prepared by a renowned Viennese chef. Next stop is a bustling, vibrant local market for our second lunch. Be sure to save some room, though, because next we’ll discover where the locals go for the best coffee in the city. You’ll graze on some sweet and savory delights, hand-picked by your guide. This tour is sure to make you fall in love not just with Viennese food, but with Vienna’s culture. You’ll learn the locals’ secret to “gemütlichkeit” and understand why Vienna is placed so high in the “most liveable city” rankings. Other things to note The tour will take about 5 hours. We provide a very authentic tour that is personable, entertaining, and full of interesting stories about Vienna.
Die Wien-Fototour / Vienna Photographic Tour
Our photographic tour will begin at The Belvedere Palace, which offers one of the most iconic views over Vienna. From there, we will venture downhill, towards the Schwarzenbergplatz, a refreshing stop on to our final destination - Karlskirche (St Charles Church). The total length of the walk is approximately 1.7km (1 mile), at a descending incline, which we will undergo at a slow and peaceful rhythm. Therefore, we will have time to invest in creating a remarkable set of memories, in the form of a creative photo-session, as well as to enjoy the sites. During our photographic walk, I will try to paint a social and historical picture of this beautiful land, and tell you as much as I can about the landmarks which we will visit. The tour will reach its end at the steps of Karlskirche (St Charles Church), 5 minutes away from the Vienna Opera, and two minutes away from the U4 station, Karlsplatz. My recommendation is to choose a colourful outfit, therefore allowing us to create an aesthetically pleasing contrast between yourself, and the typical chromatics of the Viennese architecture.
I Spy Vienna - guided Espionage Tour
Join a tour exploring the long and dark history of spies in Vienna. We will explore the heyday of international intelligence services of the cold war and dive into history to lern about the scandals that shook imperial Vienna on the brink of the great war. How is the Viennese coffee house tradition linked to a spy and how did the Romans encode their messages? Over 2 hours we’ll untangle the web of international diplomacy, spies and informants who didn’t always do it for ideological reasons but sometimes just to survive. Retracing bold plans to be one step ahead of the enemy and witnessing personal tragedies that are still part of the game. We learn why Vienna is still the secret capital of espionage while walking trough Viennas imperial heritage. We’ll find signs hidden in plain sight telling us the story of the darkest days in our nations history. Join me on this mission! Other things to note This is a walking tour that includes city terrain, cobblestones, some steps and pedestrian crossings. If you have any spezific requirements pleas let me know in advance

Schnitzel & Strudel: Cooking with Lena
*COVID VACCINATION NECCESSARY* I will share my secrets of making the crispiest Schnitzel and the crunchiest Apfelstrudel with you following my grandmother´s recipies. Take part in my cooking class and I will teach you about the traditional Austrian cuisine. The cooking class will take place in my home - a beautifully decorated apartment in a 200 year old house in the city center - where my grandparents already lived. We will sit down and discuss some dishes of Austrian cuisine and then cook a two or three course meal all together. The menu will consist of a soup, a Chicken Schnitzel with two kinds of salads and an apple strudel for dessert. It'll be all hands on deck – I'll help you every step of the way so that afterwards, you'll be able to make the dishes yourself at home. My Austrian grandmother did a hell of cooking - and I want to pass it on to you. After the class, we will enjoy the beautiful meal and keep chatting. Half-day Countryside Wine Tour near Wien
We will pick up our guests at selected hotel in Downtown Vienna with our air conditioned minibus. During the 30 minute ride to the Weinviertel Wine Region we briefly tell about the history of Austria and the development of the wine culture in the area. In the Weinviertel we visit 3 small, family owned winery, where we will meet with the owners or their familes and they will make a small presentation about their wines. Since these wineries are usually not available all the time, because they have to do all the works in vineyard as well in the cellar, we have established partnership with 9 wineries in the area and pick 3 for every tour. We are going to taste mostly local white wines, like Grüner Veltliner and Yellow Muscat, along with Austria's favourite red wine, the Zweigelt. At each place we taste 4 glasses of wine, so we prepare with some snacks at each place and at the last winery we complete the experience with dinner. If the conditions allow we also will have the opportunity to see the wine cellar or the production facility. After the tour we take the guests back to Vienna where we picked them up.

Viennese Wine Tasting in a roman wine cellar
Since ages, around 700 hectares of wine have been cultivated within Vienna's urban area. The roots of viticulture here go as far back as the Romans, who populated the city two thousand years ago. But what exactly is left of the former empire in Vienna today and how is that related to Viennese wine? Get to the bottom of these questions in the truest sense of the word with a wine tasting in Vienna's deepest wine cellar. A trained wine expert will lead you into the cellar to taste three different wines. The wines range from classic Viennese wines to other Austrian wines, which will, of course, be paired with a small snack from the family-owned delicacy-store. IMPORTANT: The tasting at 14:30 is held in ENGLISH and at 17:00 in GERMAN! Please note that the experience takes approx. 40 minutes.

Gems of Wachau Hike
On this hiking tour, we will discover the beauties and gems of the Wachau region - charming towns and amazing UNESCO protected landscapes. We will wander through the historical districts of the towns of Stein and Dürnstein - gothic, renaissance and baroque ensembles delight our eyes. Starting in Stein and following ancient panoramic wine trails, we finally reach our destination, the medieval village of Dürnstein. In its famous castle ruins, the English king Richard Lionheart was imprisoned centuries ago. We will have the chance to visit a traditional wine tavern and try some local wine and food (optional) before heading back to Stein and further on to Vienna. Walking time will be approx. 2,5-3 hours, depending on individual speed. For this hike, you should have an average fitness level. The hike is not difficult, but can be challenging due to its length. Travelling time from/to Vienna is approx. 2 hours back and forth. The ticket for the short public bus ride is EUR 2.70 (to be paid directly on the bus). MEETING POINT is easily reachable by Vienna subway U4 (15-min ride from city centre Opera/Karlsplatz). Price transparency: the price includes 20% commission for Airbnb.
Classical Concerts at Mozart's house
I would like to share my passion for classical music and dive into the world of Viennese classical music together with you for one evening. Together with my colleagues, we as Mozart Ensemble Vienna play impressive pieces of Viennese classical music. Be enchanted by the world of classical music and immerse yourself mentally in the time in which the great masters of Viennese classical music worked! There is no better place for this than the Sala Terrena, where our concerts take place. The Sala Terrena is the oldest concert hall in Vienna and serves as a perfect atmosphere to put us into the time of Mozart, Schubert or Beethoven. At the time, Mozart himself played in this historic place and earned his living for his first apartment in Vienna. The Sala Terrena, which is only a few minutes' walk away from St. Stephen's Cathedral, also impresses with its beautiful frescos with late venetian renaissance style. Hi, please come in the Singerstrasse 7. The concert is not in the Mozart museum. The main entrance is in front of Singerstrasse 10 (is a big haus and they are two entrances.) We have a poster stand with poster of the concert in front of the house. See you later. Regards.

Wachau World Heritage Trail
We will hike the panoramic World Heritage Trails around the charming medieval village of Spitz. It is a pleasant 3-hour hike, up and down through vineyards, elm oak and pine tree forests, passing by beautiful rock formations and enjoying amazing views on the surrounding landscapes. We will visit a traditional wine tavern or inn and try local food and wine of the region (optional). I created this tour especially for people who wish to be close to nature, slow down and discover the landscape by walking. We will be far away from the crowds, walking the hidden paths and silent forest trails. Let me show you the magic and beauty of this natural treasure. After a short public bus ride back to our starting point, we continue our journey back to Vienna. The total travelling time from/to Vienna is approx. 2,5 hours. I consider the hike of medium difficulty because of its length and elevation differences. The terrain is rocky and rooted (1/3) and easy forest road (2/3). MEETING POINT is easily reachable by subway U4 (15-min ride from city centre Opera/Karlsplatz). Walking time: 3 h, duration: 12 km. The hike is not difficult, but a lot of uphill and downhill. You should enjoy walking. Price for the short bus ride to Spitz: EUR 3,70 (to be paid directly on the bus). Price transparency: The indicated price includes 20% commission for Airbnb.

Educational walk with a homeless guide
Currently this tour is only operated in GERMAN! Together we will walk along the thin line of poverty and wellfare. We will discuss the topic of homelessness in the most liveable city in the world - while walking through the center of Vienna. This is not a sightseeing tour - this is a tour about life. The content of the tour is homelessness, its challenges and the solutions that the city provides - and I'll share with you my personal insights and experiences of being homeless. You can ask me any question about homelessness that you might have. We will pass places that are related to homelessness and will make you realize the contrasts of the city. We love to educate you! If you are interested in alternative tours and in socio-politics, then you will definitely enjoy this experience. **Please note that the tour is NOT a sight seeing tour and NEITHER visits shelters or expose homeless people. We are affected by homelessness ourselves and we reject social voyeurism, thus neither other homeless people are on display, nor former beds of guides or other homeless people are shown.** The experience will be guided in english OR german (never both languages at the same time), depending on the date you book. Other things to note Wear good shoes and weatherproof clothes :)
