But best of all is a great pub serving award-winning food just over the road. Good for families and couples wanting to take time out to explore. York is 20 miles away, Helmsley is six miles away and the coast just a forty minute drive. Ampleforth Abbey is close by as is Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall.
