Personal Guide for Introverts/Solo Travelers
Is it your first time in Malaysia? Are you an introvert who feels nervous about joining big tour groups or exploring the city on your own? Don't worry -- I've got you covered. I will be your local friend & private guide (you will not be sharing the tour with anyone else). I can also recommend local delicacies based on your dietary needs/restrictions. On top of that, if you have any question about solo traveling, I will be more than happy to share tips and stories. The tour typically takes around 3 - 4 hours to complete, depending on how fast we walk and how many stops we make. This tour is also ideal for those on a layover in KLIA, as it starts and ends in KL Sentral, which is easily accessible from the airport. Please note, however, that it takes 1 hour to travel between these two points. I can make minor adjustments based on your time, but please let me know before booking. Note: This is a walking tour. It will be done mostly by walking and taking public transports. I will bear the cost of the bus/train rides. In case of very heavy rain, the experience may get cancelled with a full refund or rescheduled (subject to my availability). Food is not included in the tour. Want to customize the itinerary? Sure! However, do note that if the destination you choose requires a taxi ride and/or entrance fee, it will be at your expense.

Chef-Curated Kuala Lumpur Street Food Tour
With Malay, Indian and Chinese influences, it's no wonder that Malaysian food is a lip-smackingly complex beast. But where to start? We'll meet at 5:30pm in Chow Kit and Kampung Baru - one of last old districts yet to be developed into glassy high rises. These are tight-knit communities known for their traditional wooden housing & delicious nightly street eats. We'll end at the mighty Petronas Towers by 9:30pm. Don't expect other foreigners. As we weave among the evening food vendors, we'll have 14+ tastings carefully curated by a KL chef for their varying tastes and culinary history. The flavours change across the year, but firm favourites are fragrant bowls of laksa, hand stretched rotis with a trio of curries, nasi lemak with piquant sambal & herbal chicken rendang, mackerel freshly grilled with freshly ground curry paste, nasi kerabu with blue flower rice, & soothing iced cendol with custard-like durian, among much more. While it's possible to attempt such a culinary marathon yourself, if you want the real deal you'd be one sandwich short of a Malaysian picnic not to join me on my moveable food feast! *Special Diets:- suitable for lactose or gluten intolerances. Not recommended for vegetarians as you'll have to skip a few dishes (but OK for pescatarians). It is halal with no pork on the menu. Not advised for severe food allergies due to risk of cross-contamination.*
Old KL Walk With A Local
Join me for a walk!!! This trip is designed to allow guests to learn, understand and experience Kuala Lumpur by submerging into the local's perspectives of Kuala Lumpur. We will start the trip from one of the oldest mosques here in Kuala Lumpur to walk through a significant historical site (a brief history of Malaysia) going to Central Market which is a cultural heritage site offering arts, eateries, and shopping. Next, Hindu Temple right before going to Petaling Street (Chinatown) where you can experience haggling if you end up buying anything there. After roaming around Petaling Street, we will be heading to an event venue that was once an old cinema, a perfect example of where the whole Chinatown is heading in terms of culture, ambiance, and style. We will also be going to a private alley called Kwai Chai Hong which will take you on a journey back in time to the 1960s golden era of KL Chinatown. Finally, we will end the adventure with some cold beers at my favorite rooftop bar during sunset. Note: Prepare for the walk and weather. A meal may cost RM 8 - RM 20. Cocktails may cost RM 35 - RM 50. Beers may cost RM 15 - RM 20.
Magical Kampung Baru
Kampung Baru, the last Malay enclave…located in the heart of Kula Lumpur city, was opened by my forefathers in the 1880's. A Village Laid Back…Kampung means Village and Baru means New….literally a ‘New Village’. Kampung Baru offers a glimpse of the ethnic Malay lifestyle and it is home to Malay families who have lived there for the last 4 generations! Kampung Baru is living museum, a history in it’s time. It’s residents continues to preserve the tradition and stories that exists within it’s walls. With Petronas Twin Towers that form a beautiful backdrop to this quaint kampung setting, a visit to my Kampung Baru is an experience to cherish. As the 4th generation native of Kampung Baru, it is my pleasure to take you around my beloved Kampung, discover its local life, foodie, architecture and cultural sights! I will take you to places where locals indulge and places not many tourists frequent. Come chill with me! Other things to note Wear light clothing, acceptable decent attire, comfortable walking shoes. Be a lookout on the weather as and when it rains, you may need an umbrella or a raincoat. Take Kelana Jaya LRT Line and head to Kampung Baru LRT Station (KJ11)
