This is the only place that you can have Japanese bread lesson in the kitchen at Japanese house.Japanese bread is big difference from other countries.
Like how?Most of them are softer and sweeter than those of other countries, and of course they are tasty.
Menu:1 Meronpan, 1 cute bear bread and 1sheep bread ,1sausage buns and some Onigiri( rice ball) with Japanese ingredients.(I prepare some side dishes also)Through the lesson,you can get hints and will be able to bake your original artistic bread.The ingredients are simple , just you need your imagination and feeling to enjoy.
10:45 we meet up in front of Tully's coffee shop at AEON foodstyle Supermarket, and go to my apartment. Let’s get start making your own cute bread.
While your bread dough is proving, you can try to make some (japanese rice ball) that we are eating with the bread for lunch.You can eat and take away the bread you bake.
The lesson will end about 13:30-14:00. After the lesson,you can see local Japanese supermarket near my house on your way to the station if you like.(I will come with you if I have time)
Our town is not busy, won't see any tourist in town ,that's why you can feel places where everyday Japanese life.My kitchen isn't big,but is clean,tidied up,and comfortable.See you soon!

Hello,I’m Yuko,
I’m a nutritionist ,and baking cooking instructor.
When I was younger I went to England for a year .The experience I had sharing a dormitory kitchen with many students from other countries made me fascinated with world food culture.
After I came back to Japan I got a nutrition certificate and learned about cooking more. After I graduated from college,I worked a cooking school run by Tokyo-gas which is the largest gas company in Japan.I have lots of experience teaching cooking and baking. I have been holding baking and cooking class almost 10 years. Now I would like to introduce you to make Japanese bread, because Japanese bread is unique, you can find many difference between your country‘s and ours.I am sure that you will have an enjoyable time and find some interests and new perspectives in my class

I live in an apartment in the suburbs of Tokyo .my nearest station is “Shim-matsudo ,you can access with the Joban Line or Musashino Line. (Shim-matsudo is located between Narita airport and central Tokyo.)It takes less one hour from central Tokyo to my place,you can get easily to sightseeing spot after the class.

Yuko is such a knowledgeable and friendly host. I loved the bread we made, it was delicious and I can’t wait to try again!! I also really enjoyed eating lunch together too. If you love Japanese bread, this is the experience for you!!

체험을 진행 하는 곳이 관광지는 아니여서 찾아가기 조금 어려울 수 있어요. 저는 전철때문에 10분정도 늦었는데 미리 연락해서 배려해주셨어요! 저와 일행은 일본어가 편해서 일본어로 대화하고 이런저런 이야기를 많이 나눌 수 있었어요! “체험” 인줄 알았는데 전문적으로 이렇게 하는 이유라든가 설명 해주셨어요~ 빵4개에 비싸다고 생각 할 수도 있는데 발효하는 동안 멸치육수를 내서 미소국 만들기같은것도 가르쳐주시고 일본풍 식사를 직접 플레이팅 해서 먹었어요~ 다른모양의 빵/요리를 또 체험 할 수 있다고 하시더라고요. 다시 기회가되면 참여하고싶어요 The place where this activity was held was not a place where tourists usually go so it can be hard to take the train. We were about 10min late due to the train, but Yuko kindly understood. Me and my friend were more used to Japanese so we spoke in Japanese and was able to communicate more with the host. I thought this would be just an “experience” but she explained in detail what to do and why. It might sound expensive for making 4 breads, but she also taught us how to make miso soup while waiting for the bread to ferment. We also put the food she made for us as lunch together on a Japanese style plate. She told us that we can make different breads/foods next time! I’d totally go again

Yuko was amazingly welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, and she gave excellent instructions and we had such a unique experience! Everything was so well thought out and prepared. She even shared stories and was happy to explain things in more detail, I'm thankful we got to experience this on our trip and will be recommending her to friends looking to travel, as well as returning here ourselves in the future!

This was an amazing experience Yuko very friendly and had such a great passion for baking. We made Japanese bread: fun, straightforward and delicious! We also made a traditional Japanese lunch including miso soup and onigiri It was a truly unique experience that I highly recommend to everyone MAKE MELON BUNS, BEARS, AND Sausages in the DOUGHT . My family ate all it in no time!!! Fresh and good. I will make it home for my family , I belive, very often.

The baking class with Yuko is the best cooking class I’ve been to! She was friendly, knowledgeable and very clear with the instructions. Not only did we learn how to make shokupan, we also prepared a delicious lunch and got to practice our onigiri skills! And having the possibility to bake and cook at her house made it really special. Although the location is not central Tokyo, it’s worth the trip. Thanks Yuko!
