Join me as we eat our way across Bordeaux's best bakeries, all of which are recipients of French culinary awards. Each bakery is in a different, vibrant neighbourhood of Bordeaux and along the way I'll share with you its history and my own personal experiences of the neighbourhood. I'll teach you how to order in French (if required) and suggest pastries at each boulangerie while educating you on specialities of the South-West. Come hungry!!!

Depending on your appetite, eating a pastry from each bakery may be too much so I can give you recommendations on what to eat during the tour and what to pack. Be sure to bring a bag.

Salut! I'm Nikesh and I spent 100 euros on pastries in my first 2 weeks in this city. I've written for food blogs in Australia for 3 years and my area of expertise is not high-end dining but rather street food and bakeries. I have lived in Bordeaux for close to 2 years now and believe me when I say I have scouted this city far and wide for its best boulangeries (bakeries). After taking a few of my friends around the city, they suggested that I start a pastry tour where I combine my interest for this city's rich history and my love for pastries. Et voila!

We'll start in the historical Saint Michel district, make our way through the bustling, hipster street Rue Pas Sant Georges and then towards Hotel de Ville which is the center of town. After that, we will continue to France's best boulangerie of 2018 and finish in the quaint Chartrons village.

Ça a été un plaisir de faire (certainement) la dernière visite des boulangeries avec Nikesh. C’était intéressant d’apprendre des anecdotes sur des boulangeries qui ne paient pas de mine de prime à bord. Merci pour cet agréable moment.

Superbe expérience ! Qui nous a permis de découvrir la ville et son histoire tout en gourmandise. Derrière chaque boulangerie il y a une histoire racontée par Nikesh avec bienveillance. Nous recommandons ce tour 👌🏽

Balade agréable malgré la pluie en tant que seul visiteur avec allergie aux fruits à coque prise en compte. Vous découvrirez certains sites de bordeaux ainsi que son histoire en enchaînant les boulangeries. Pensez à apporter des sous si vous souhaitez goûter les pâtisseries. Je vous conseille de ne pas manger le matin !
