You’ll visit 2 different Chateaux (wineries) and explore the enchanting village of St Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Your guide will meet you in front of the Bordeaux Office du Tourisme at 01 :50pm (1:20pm from november to march), just look for the sign 'Bordeaux Wine Trails'.
We will then drive you towards Pomerol / St Emilion vineyard and will share with you informations about Bordeaux’s vineyards and test your wine knowledge. You’ll see some of the region’s fabulous scenery.
Enjoy a guided walking tour of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion to explore its thousand-year-old history and visit 2 local wineries with tasting included.
We’ll finish the afternoon on a tasty note with a french aperitif shared with a glass of Bordeaux! (2 winery fees included in the price)
Other things to note
Make sure to have lunch before! (only small portions of local delicacies will be served at the last tasting)
Wear comfortable shoes (cobblestones in Saint-Emilion)
Not suitable for children under 12 yo

Originally from the heart of the French Alps, I have spent the last decade travelling and living around the world. I now run local wine tour company, Bordeaux Wine Trails.

I love sport, playing rugby, snowboarding, skiing and surfing whenever I can. Ultra social, I am always eager to show off my favourite parts of Bordeaux, especially their vineyards; my playground! I have worked in wineries in at least three different countries, in both the New and Old World. I pride myself on bringing people together to share knowledge and life experience!

I recently completed my WSET 3 certification and I am a certified sommelier, so feel free to challenge me :)

Yan was our tour guide and he gave us detailed info of Bordeaux and St Emilion. It was so interesting to learn about Bordeaux the city itself (and not only the wine farms). We went to 2 grand cru classe chateaus which were stunning. After the first vineyard, our tasting was held in the old town of St Emilion which was a lovely idea. Yan then guided us through the town (c20-30 mins) - the town is AMAZING. He gave us some great info and took us to the main spots which allowed us to get a quick overview of the town. Personally, I would come back and do a full day on my own touring St Emilion town as it is such a gorgeous place. We then went to the second chateau and Yan surprised us with some cheese, bread and organic olive tapenade as well as some delicious macaroons. The chateau guide also gave us a tasting of 2 wines and then a full glass just for drinking and chatting. It was fab and we all had a blast! Yan is knowledgeable, personable, funny and is a wonderful guide! You will feel welcome and will definitely leave feeling like you have made a friend.

St. Emilio was a cant miss. The wine tasted amazing and the little city was awesome. I felt like I would have missed a great experience if I didn’t sign up for the tour.

We had a wonderful tour with Johnathan. It was a great, small group so it felt very personal. I loved that we got a great look at the vineyards and behind the scenes, it was the first wine tour that gave a true insight to the wine making process as well as a very generous tasting at each Château. The charcuterie and cheese board was a nice added bonus! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bordeaux/St Emilion.

This was an amazing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life! Jonathan was very knowledgable about wine in general but also about various cultures throughout the world, which made the conversation so much more exciting and intuitive. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone who is looking to explore the Bordeaux wine region and learn about the wine making process as well as how to broaden your tasting expertise!
