I am an animal lover and understand the importance that animals have in our lives. I have adopted 3 rescue dogs and also have 3 bunnies The bond between an animal and caretaker can be an amazing gift to both! I have taught many people how to draw, paint and embellish a pet portrait A few days before our class I will also ask you what your preferred background color, I will also ask you to send me your favorite image of your pet in an email. I will pre-paint the background and will also draw your pet onto your 10x10 canvas. When you come to my studio, you will be given your prepainted and outlined portrait. We will then paint your furry or feathered friend on canvas. I will show you brush techniques, help you to mix colors, and help you along the whole creative process. If time allows, we will also be exploring the canvas more with college and adding more relevant images for texture and a deeper and stronger image. Honor your pet with a meaningful portrait!

I have been teaching and encouraging people to create for the past 20+ years. I am a certified art teacher and have taught ages 4-80. I love animals and their personalities. I have 3 rescue dogs, 3 bunnies and 3 fish. I have helped over 30 people "capture the essence of their pet" I will guide you- show drawing and seeing techniques and personalized approach for you and your art work.

We will meet in my studio upstairs #7. I made a 6 -foot round handmade bird NEST table. We will be gathered at the nest and begin our pet portrait session.

Jenny has really crafted a personally rewarding and personalised experience. She can easily help a somewhat experienced painter and someone with no prior experience simultaneously. We are so happy with our finished paintings, and Jenny wouldn't settle for any less. She was such a champ helping us perfect and tweak every last detail to help each piece exude our sphynx cat's personality! Even my husband left gushing over what we were able to create in 3 short hours. Hats off to Jenny!!

I had such a good time doing this experience! We worked together to create the best portrait of my cat. Jenny really knows what she’s doing and talking about, it the experience very comfortable. We were able to talk to each other no issue while working, and in general I believe that this is such a cool experience to take part of, and such a cool idea. Definitely worth checking out, if you need something to do for a couple of hours!

This was a wonderfully enjoyable and surprisingly relaxing experience. Jenny is a wonderful, friendly host and she made sure to guide us with our paintings without ever taking over, so that we could still feel like the finished piece was our own accomplishment. I would highly recommend this experience to all the animal lovers out there — my friend and I were so pleased with the finished products!

Jenny was great! When you are aren’t a very artistic person you get very frustrated during painting classes. Jenny helps ease your frustration and brain health. She was there every step of the way when we would mess something up. She has another level of patience and is a fantastic instructor. I would recommend this class for all ages and experience levels.
