Što ćete raditi
Since the Place de Bastille is undergoing massive renovations, let's start at the first bar on our list, the warm and lively Baron Rouge at 1 rue Théophile Roussel near Place d'Aligre . It's one of the quartier's caves populaires, the homey bars with a range of wines from the different regions of France. The caves are completely unlike trendy or tourist bars. It's where the French, young and old, drink. From there we may go (depending on the hour) to an insanely comfortable little bar à zinc where the accent is on vin bio, the organic wine of France. A real delight, because all the regions of France are now producing excellent natural wine. Both bars offer scrumptious plates to go along with your wine. We'll meet at le Baron Rouge just off Place D'aligre. The nearest metro is Ledru-Rollin on the number 8 line. If you're walking from the Marais, it's about a twenty minute walk from Place des Vosges. If the Place d'Aligre is too far, I propose an experiment: tell me a part of town you want to explore and I will find a find a bar with a good selection of wine at reasonable place, a boite or neighborhood cave. That way we both explore Paris and do some cultivated invesitgations.
Paris is a feast! I arrived seven years ago, and fell in love, not least because here, all the wines of France are on offer. To learn as much as possible, I travel to many of the best producing regions, worked on the vendanges (harvests) in Langue D'oc and Pyrénées-Orientales, and begin sommelier training in January. I'm passionate about the small labels and the new natural wines. Paris has innumerable places to drink but how do you get off the beaten path and enjoy the real thing ? I've been giving tours in Paris for four years, speak French and invite you to join me in the search.

Gdje ćete biti
Le Baron Rouge on rue Roussel is the local cave but it's really the social center for Place d'Aligre, a short stroll from Bastille. Not only can the locals buy wine from the barrel there but they can enjoy a fantastic plate of charcuterie and cheese to go along with the 100 selections from the vaults below. There's always a good crowd, friendly, not rowdy, sometimes there's singing (I confess - I'm one of them) and it's always memorable…
