Get a taste for the city's unique street art scene by exploring the neighbourhood with local expert and artist, REQ, who walks and talks you through individual pieces as well as giving you an overview of this colourful, often un-commissioned side of Brighton's creative scene.
Other things to note
As this is a walking tour, please wear comfortable shoes or trainers (and bring an umbrella, just in case). Meet at the gallery 10 minutes before the start time and at the end of the tour we will return to the gallery for drinks.

A talented street artist himself, with years of experience working in and around the coastal city of Brighton and beyond, REQ knows the ins and outs of the local art scene, as well as where to find the latest pieces of art within the warren of streets and laneways. REQ has been hosting street art walks in Brighton since 1984, sharing his insights and passion for this subject with locals as well as visitors to the city.

We had a great time on saturday following Req through the busy north and south lanes, Req's is the perfect tour guide and strikes the perfect balance between informative and entertaining. We saw some great street art and learnt much more about the culture and background of the artists themselves. It was fab-u-lus! Thanks Req.

Brilliant tour around various graffiti arts both male and female, goes into depth of the technical aspects Aswell as history all done with a great sense of humour would definitley recommend!!!

Discovered lots of locations and a lot of interesting street art I would never have been aware of. Really enjoyed the tour from start to finish and came away from it with a better understanding of the roots of street art in Brighton, and the artists that have contributed to the city's varied artwork both past and present. Didn't realise how many different street art techniques/methods/styles used by street artists to achieve their 'art statements'/signatures. If your in Brighton and have a couple of hours to spare I'd highly recommend scoping out this tour. Great host and great value for money.

The tour opened my eyes to what was around me and i got to see things i would have missed. It was interesting and Req answered all our questions. Hes a very interesting guy. Worth every minute. You should do this on your stay.

We enjoyed the experience, Req covers the ins and outs of graffiti as an art form but also the cultural and social elements. His style is quite dry and sarcastic, which we liked, but he’s still open to questions and interaction. Would recommend the tour!

I had a amazing time listening to the deep and personalized knowledge of REQ. Brightons various grafitti and street art really got me ... and I was impressed by REQ's support for young women: Spraypaint academy for girls! Thank you for an eye-opening walk!
