The six-hour long hike across Collserola is a journey through the fairy forest filled with birdsongs, butterflies and magnificent views. We will be passing by medieval ruins, rye fields, "masias" - catalan medieval farmhouses, ancient religious sites and a viaduct - all standing along the roman road from Barcelona to Sant Cugat! Our tour will start from pl Catalunya and in half-an-hour we'll get to Tibidabo - the highest point of Barcelona with the best views! After visiting the temple and taking awesome pictures we will start our forest-mountain hike! We will not have to climb up - we will be gradually descending all the way to our final destination - Sant Cugat Monastery that is located down in the valley. Half-way through our journey we will stop to have a picnic in a cute garden next to the 12th century chapel of Sant Medir. I will be pleased to share with you catalan tapas! Sant Cugat is a nice little town, very authentic and completely different from Barcelona - you will definitely feel it's true pastoral atmosphere! We will visit the main sight of Sant Cugat - the medieval monastery that was one of the most important christian institutions during IX-XVII centuries.
