I am the co host of this incredible local artist
I Ketut Karim, who was born in Kutuh Kelod,Ubud .His Talent is in art ,and has been known as a local master art and has many students from around the world to learn his painting’s style . You can find his paintings at the Museum Puri Lukisan and many other art galleries. His passion for painting began in 1974, and during that period he developed his own unique style of modern painting. Then in 1978 he took a deep interest in Traditional Balinese painting. The two came together producing his signature style of painting ‘Flora & Fauna’, especially of birds in 1980.
Since 1984 he had numerous exhibitions in Bali, and around the world.

Bei Ketut habe ich mich gleich wohlgefühlt. Er hat eine bescheidene Art und man merkt, dass Kunst seine Leidenschaft ist. Die balinesische Kunst ist sehr detailliert und es ist beeindruckend wie lange Künstler für ein Bild brauchen.
Leider habe ich das Bild nicht ganz geschafft zu beenden, aber das werde ich zuhause nachholen.
Bei Ketut habe ich mich gleich wohlgefühlt. Er hat eine bescheidene Art und man merkt, dass Kunst seine Leidenschaft ist. Die balinesische Kunst ist sehr detailliert und es ist bee…
ウブドマーケットより徒歩10分程度（スクーターで3分程度）の家で絵画体験をしました。当日は私たち2人のみだったので、とても丁寧に書き方を教えてくださいました。
絵は何種類かのバリ絵画から好みの作品を選択して、紙に模写するところから始まります。鉛筆での下書きから油性ペンによる枠書き、その後に色付けがありますが、私たちは遅筆のため、枠書きまでしかできませんでした。
（家で続きを描きたいと伝えると、使用した鉛筆やペンをくださったので、無事完成して額装することができました！）
庭に生えている木や葉を見ながら様々な説明をしてくださったり、バリの自然の美しさを笑顔で語ってくださったりと、とても豊かで楽しい、癒しの時間となりました。
インドネシアの絵画展に何度も出展されている先生で、教室の前後に作品を見せてくれました。細やかな観察眼と、バリの自然を愛する心が見える、うつくしい作品ばかりで感動しました。
体験としては目新しいものはありませんが、真摯にひとつひとつ丁寧に指導してくださる先生のお人柄と、バリの絵画を模写することでウブドの芸術の一端を垣間見れて、とても良い体験をすることができましたよ＾＾
