Što ćete raditi

After a short but super useful introduction, we will split into teams of 2 or 3 and start to temper the chocolate - in order to make it shiny and snappy!

Each participant will be working with its own mold and will have to make its own chocolate shells (up to 21 per person!) then we will be cooking all together the praline filling ( milk/dark chocolate ganache - vegan & dairy free alternatives are available -) before working on mendiants. You will have the possibility to make from 5 to 15 or even 20 mendiants per person, depending on how motivated you're feeling!
Following that step, you will be piping the filling inside your own shells and covering them of nice liquid chocolate, a delish!

While we wait for the chocolate to harden, you will be invited to taste some real, good, hot chocolate and ask any question about chocolate making or the city of Brussels.

Before each step, there will be a demonstration, so you know exactly what to do and what you have to get to! I usually write down all the recipe on the table, feel free to take a picture of them for your own records.

After 2.5h you will have learned some essential chocolate making techniques, master the chocolate crystallizing process and leave the workshop with a nice golden box filled up of 35+ of your very own delicious Belgian chocolates. Whether you decide to share them or no....Enjoy!

Hi! Im Titch. I have been making delicious waffles for many years until I decided it was time to move up the Belgian food chain and I started learning about chocolates! After many years of practice, I am happy to host this technical - yet accessible to anyone 12+ years old - praline and mendiants chocolate making class.
This is a BEGINNER level class. Yet we are gonna make professional quality chocolates together.
I have had the chance to travel to many countries, especially Peru to learn more on the reality of the cocoa production and the whole chain from the plant to our workshop in Brussels, I am proud to use only the best fair trade chocolate, come share the joy

The workshop takes place at my own private venue in Brussels. That's an old bar / restaurant that has been transformed to host cooking classes. We host chocolate in the morning, waffle making in the afternoon and beer tasting in the evening.

The workshop was a nice experience, and the chocolate-making process was neither too easy nor too hard. In the end, the sweets were very good! The host was friendly and had a very pleasant attitude.

Der Workshop war echt super, Mariella hat das ausgezeichnet erklärt und sehr unterhaltsam durch den Abend geführt. Die Menge an Schokolade war genau richtig :) Kurz: sehr gelungen und lecker

Such a nice experience! The host was very knowledgeable and helpful with the chocolate making process. We made two types of chocolates, and had plenty of chocolate to take home. Great value for the amount of activity there was. Definitely would recommend.

Très belle activité, pour découvrir l'envers du décors d'un des fleurons de la culture culinaire Belge à savoir le chocolat. Ateliers très didactique, avec pas mal d'anecdotes intéressantes, et une très belle ambiance.

Uvjeti otkazivanja

Ako otkažete najmanje 7 dana prije početka doživljaja, dobit ćete puni povrat novca. Isto vrijedi i ako otkažete u roku od 24 sata nakon ugovaranja rezervacije pod uvjetom da rezervaciju ugovarate više od 48 sati prije početka doživljaja.
