Our wood fired inspired class is an informative and delicious way for true foodies to experience cooking in a wood fired oven! When you arrive, you will be greeted with a glass of champagne, an apron, and some delicious wood fired bites. We will start the class by going over our work horse; the oven. You will learn all there is to know about starting your fire and getting the oven up to temperature, along with some very interesting wood fired history. From there, we will dig into your 3-course menu:
Forno Seared Scallops with Butternut Squash, Apples & Fennel
Hanger Steak with Baby Carrots, Turnips & Chimichurri
Roasted Pears on Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Our chef will handle the majority of prep so that we can focus on the method, cooking technique and oven management. During this time, you will learn all about the locally sourced ingredients that we are using to create our meal. Once the food has been prepared, we will sit down together to eat while each course is served. Each course will be paired with a glass of wine from a local, Napa Valley wine maker.
We will finish with our delicious dessert that is prepared in the wood fired oven, while we relax by the fireplace.
