Explore Harry Potter's London Tour

On this walking tour of London's streets we will watch clips from the movies while I regale you with behind-the-scenes stories of those locations and how they were used in the film series. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and find out which Leaky Cauldron has the best tacos, as well as others I don't want to spoil here. I will also share some of the strangest, funniest non-HP facts I've learned about London along the way. We will finish at Borough Market, London's top street food destination, with King's Cross just a separate Tube ride away. PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English is essential. While witches and wizards of all ages are welcome, due to the amount of walking and the content, I more recommend it for ages 11+. Strictly one person per slot. No exceptions. Step-free route for wheelchairs available This London street walking tour is not affiliated with the WB Studio Tour at Watford. Other things to note Every person (over 11yo) will need an Oyster card or contactless payment method with at least £2.40. Pub Tour of Notting Hill & Kensington
We’ll take a guided tour of the most interesting and characterful pubs in London's Notting Hill and Kensington. These are the same pubs that I still enjoy visiting with my friends and they are well known for their fine beers and good food. We’ll sample the wide variety of wonderful, British, traditional, full-flavoured cask ales (the original craft beers) and modern craft beers that are on offer and experience the friendly atmosphere of these unique establishments. NB. Other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, will also be available. Marvel at the immaculately maintained Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture of these charming neighbourhoods. Spot the numerous blue plaques, identifying the one-time residences of persons of historical interest, such as the detective novelist and playwright, Agatha Christie and American poet, Ezra Pound, and see the home where the triple-Oscar-winning actor, Daniel Day-Lewis, was born. Savour the abundant varieties of plants and trees, as well as the wonderful architectural diversity of the local churches, as we walk between pubs, in what are arguably the most stunningly beautiful neighbourhoods of inner London. This is a highly social experience, so bring a SENSE OF HUMOUR and an OPEN, FRIENDLY AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE! Other things to note FROM £25 PER PERSON. Visit the British Museum with an archaeologist
#Please note: the Rosetta Stone is currently not on display in the general galleries (visited on this tour) until spring 2023# With over 80 000 objects on display, the British Museum can be overwhelming to visit. Join me, an archaeologist, on a tour of my favourites from among the most famous and the slightly more neglected objects in display! We will start the tour by exploring the interesting history of how the museum came to be, and how it got filled with millions of objects during its over 250 year old history. We will then look at two different ancient scripts, the Egyptian hieroglyphs and the Mesopotamian cuneiform, and focus on a handful interesting objects these were written on to see what they tell of their respective regions. Next, we will turn towards ancient Assyria and Egypt, and look at how the rulers used art and architecture to show off their power. We will finish with my speciality, ancient Greece. Here we will discuss Greek myths and how pottery informs archaeologists about the ancient past. The tour will finish with the Parthenon marbles, and we will discuss not just the ancient monument, but also its role in a debate on who cultural heritage belongs to. The tour lasts 3 hours, with a coffee break inside the museum.

Day trip from London to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge & Bath
Beyond London, you will immerse in different stories and vibes of top famous places in England including Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath in 1 day. • Windsor Castle In this royal residence at Winsor, we will go through the lavish State Apartments to discover the King’s Rooms, Queen’s Rooms or world-famous artworks. And visit St. George’s Chapel, the final resting place of King Henry VIII or Queen Elizabeth II and the setting for many royal weddings. • Stonehenge Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? How did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones from so far away and build this remarkable structure using only the most primitive of tools? Surrounded by mystery, Stonehenge never fails to impress us. • Bath Lastly, we will explore the first city in England to be designated an UNESCO World Heritage site. The gorgeous Georgian architecture of Bath Abbey or romantic Pulteney Bridge will linger on in the memory of your day. Especially, you cannot miss Roman Baths, the preserved bathing complex still flowing with water from Britain’s only hot spring. Be ready to marvel at the dazzling torch–lighting ceremony as dusk falls (not applicable in summer) and have a sip of Bath’s waters in the Pump Room adjacent to the Roman Baths. Estimated arrival time back in London is around 8:00 pm.
Hidden Pubs of London
Join us for a 3hr historical stumble down the "street of shame". Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. We usually finish up on the edge of Covent Garden perfect for theatre-land, restaurants and of course more pubs including one that claims to be the most haunted in London! Other things to note Guests are recommended to be over 18 years of age to enjoy the walk at its best. Anyone lucky enough to look under 25 years of age should bring photo ID. N.B. We have a small number of hosts running these walks so you might be meeting up with Chris, Mark, Wil or Kevin
