This is a Private Guesthouse, "The Cottage at Oakwood Plantation." Cottage is on the left side of the Manor House built in 1780, "Oakwood Plantation." ***We gladly accept pets. We request a FEE OF $10/ NIGHT FOR EACH PET. Airbnb does have a place for adding this nominal fee. Just leave it on the TV Desk. Thank you! June 1, 2019, re-decorated & painted. Main Bedroom: Jan 2, 2022, new Memory Foam queen-size mattress. Living room: On October 5, 2021, we added a Queen Size sofa/ hideaway bed.

It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. 15min to Town of Bedford and D-Day Memorial. 35min to Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Smith Mtn Lake. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign).
